The World PCO Alliance (WPCOA) is delighted to congratulate Ms Kitty Wong, President of K&A International Co., Ltd. and a valued member of WPCOA, on her election as the 7th President of the Taiwan Exhibition and Convention Association (TECA).
TECA recently completed the election of its 7th Board of Directors and Supervisors. The newly appointed leadership team marks a new era of generational transition and collaboration, bringing together the experience of senior industry leaders with the innovation and energy of the younger generation to further advance Taiwan’s MICE industry.
With more than 30 years of experience in the MICE sector, Kitty has played an active role in international conferences, exhibitions and incentive travel projects. She has long been committed to improving service quality, promoting international cooperation and advancing sustainable practices within Taiwan’s MICE industry.
Commenting on her appointment, Kitty said:
“The MICE industry is a key driver of national competitiveness, promoting international business exchange, industrial development and global connectivity.”
During her term, TECA will focus on enhancing the value of the MICE industry, nurturing professional talent, strengthening international collaboration and promoting cooperation among government, industry and academia.
One of the key initiatives under the new leadership will be the development of the Taiwan MICE IndustryWhite Paper. The paper aims to establish a shared vision for the industry and deepen understanding among government, industry and academia of the strategic value and contribution of MICE.
Kitty further emphasised:
“MICE is not merely an event; it represents a nation’s competitiveness. It is an international platform connecting diverse industries and creating opportunities across borders.”
She added:
“MICE is the gateway that enables Taiwan to connect with the world, and allows the world to engage with Taiwan.”
WPCOA President Sumate Sudasna and the entire Alliance warmly congratulate Kitty on this significant appointment. WPCOA is proud to see one of its members take on this important leadership role and looks forward to continuing to work closely with Kitty, TECA and Taiwan’s MICE community to strengthen international collaboration and elevate the global presence of the meetings industry.
We wish Kitty and the new TECA leadership team every success in the years ahead.
